Postpartum recover is a complex process. New parents have many questions. It is our goal to get their questions answered and educate them on the following:
- Breastfeeding / bottle feeding
- Soothing / calming
- Baby education / baby cues
- Safe sleep
- Baby wearing
- Caring for multiples (when applicable)
- Provide resources
Our job is to “mother the mother” and “mother the family.” We provide optimal support to help release the feeling of being overwhelemed, and also let the mother get some much needed rest. These services include:
- Emotional support
- Light household help
- Meal preparation
- Run errands
- Nursery organization
- Night support
- Sibling adjustment
- If there are signs of PPD, we will provide resources and assist the family through this process.
We can provide a resting period to air feelings and enable mom to recover from childbirth. We may provide the following nurturing services to cater to her needs:
- A snack / something to drink
- Time alone with baby to bond
- Sleep / rest
- A hug when feeling overwhelmed
- To talk / share
- Run an errand
- Read to sibling
- Take baby for a walk

- Hospital visit / stay
- Flexible hours
- Understand Kashrut, Shabbos, & other Jewish principles.
When hiring a postpartum caregiver, most couples don’t know where to begin. Thankfully, there are many postpartum Doulas to choose from. All our Postpartum Doulas are CPR/First Aid certified and specifically trained to help and educate in in the areas of diapering, cord care, bathing, reading baby’s cues, breastfeeding, and establishing healthy sleep habits with infants.
